Five ways to reconnect with nature at Blyth Rise Stays

  1. Join one of the outdoor yoga classes on the beautiful wooden yoga platform. Surrounded by trees and flowers this is the perfect place to take in the sounds and scents of nature while moving mindfully through your asanas. All levels are welcome so everyone can enjoy the experience

  2. Wrap up in one of their cosy woollen blankets and spend an evening star-gazing around the firepit on your private terrace. There is almost zero light pollution making it ideal for constellation spotting, plus there is a telescope you can borrow to take a closer look. Sit back and look out for shooting stars on a clear night, or enjoy a local hot chocolate and toast marshmallows on the fire. The onsite honesty shop is packed full of delicious local treats to enjoy.

  3. Hire bikes and explore some of the local countryside and villages- or why not cycle all the way to the coast for a beach walk and sea swim. Blyth Rise Stays has so many lovely places within easy access. For those feeling even more energetic you can hire kayaks, canoes and paddleboards at nearby Iken and explore the Alde Estuary with the local seal colony as your guides.

  4. Spend a day exploring the ten acre site. With over 2,500 trees planted along with wild flower meadows and mounds, the site is a haven for local wildlife. Rabbits, hares, local deer, plus a variety of bird-life in and around the lake; there is plenty to spot as you walk the paths or simply viewed from a picnic rug on the water’s edge.

  5. Suffolk is famous for its “Big Skies” which have inspired artists, poets and writers for years. Pour yourself a cold drink and enjoy the fabulous sunsets from your lodge. Designed to “bring the outside in” they all have floor-to ceiling windows in every room, and french doors onto your terrace. Or why not enjoy sitting on the decking in the middle of the lake to truly immerse yourself in the experience.
